Iwiowned geothermal company teams up with Dutch university
One of the biggest iwiownedgeothermal companies is teaming up with one of the topuniversities in the world to develop plans for a geothermalpowered greenhouse complex. Of the 12 production wellswithin the Kawerau field, five are owned and operated by Ngati Tuwharetoa Ki KawerauGeothermal Assets Ltd. The company is lookingto expand and develop its assets. Board member, Chris Karamea Insleyexpects a contract will be made
between them and the Netherland'sWageningen Institute within the next month.
