Vaginal Itching Cuts

What is bacterial vaginosis

Bacterialvaginosis is a disease that's caused by the overgrowth of a type of bacteria that's called Gardnerella vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis. And as the name might suggest, this is the most common vaginal infection. Now I wanna put these really big quotes

around the term infection because the thing that's interesting about Gardnerella vaginalis is that it's a bacteriathat's naturally foundthe vagina. Now some may consider this to be a sexually transmitted infection, which is interestingbecause it doesn't cause

any problems until there'stoo much of it there. So when we look to the causes of bacterial vaginosis, they are all things that change the vaginal environment. That can include acts like douching, so douching, or rinsing of the vagina. The other is having newor multiple sex partners.

And finally, another known cause is the use of antibiotics. This could bethe case of somebody that has a throat infection or a pneumonia that's on antibiotics which will then attackthe bacteria that exists within the vagina andallow Gardnerella vaginalis to overgrow and cause bacterial vaginosis.

So we've touched a little bit on it here, but I wanna aw it out. So when we talk about the pathophysiology of a disease, we'retalking about the mechanism by which that disease occurs. Soorder to understandthe pathophysiology of bacterial vaginosis, we need to take a look at a sample of bacteria

that existsthe vagina. So I'll aw out someGardnerella vaginalis bacteria, and so I'll put this upour key. This is the symbol forGardnerella vaginalis. And I'll aw a few of them around here, but I also wanna show that there are a lot of other bacteriathat existthis sample. So if you really look at it here,

Jock Itch Causes Symptoms Treatment by Expert Eric Bakker

Hi there, Eric Bakker, naturopath, authorof Candida Crusher. Thank you for tuning into my tutorial today. Today, we're going to talk about men's yeastinfections, particularly jock itch or itch around the men's private parts, around thescrotum, around the penis, around those areas. This is a condition I see quite frequentlyin males. A condition that ives a lot of guys crazy. In fact, I've had two cases inthe last two days. One a 44yearold male not far from where I live hereNew Zealandand another guyhis late 40s from Wellington, which is the capital of New Zealand. Bothof these cases are quite similar. This is

going to be quite an interesting tutorial, particularlyfor males who've got itchtheir groin region and have had no resolution. Let's start with this 44yearold guy. It'squite an interesting case and many men will be able to relate to thisparticular. Thisguy had an itch that started about a year ago, and it just started around his belt line. He's a hyaulic person, so he's an engineer that deals with hyaulics and repairing trucksand things like that. This guy went to his ; he had a bitof an itch around the belt line, which quickly spread to the groin region. The hada look at this skin rash and did a biopsy

and said, quot; You've got contact dermatitis.quot; He sent this man away with a bunch of creams. I've just made some case notes here. Thispatient came back to the three weeks and the condition was not improved. So the patient got sent to a skin ,called a dermatologist. The patient then got told by the dermatologist it was scabies, which is a mite infection. Again, more creams were prescribed. And again, the same thing, patient came back to the , wasn't going away with the creams, this time wentto another . And this said it was psoriasis.Quite interesting. This gave strong

ugs, steroids, which really knocked thepatient around quite a lot. The patient improved but wasn't interestedtaking steroids andthe patient then went to another . This is number four now. And this said, quot; You've got a fungal skin rash.quot; Finally, we got the correct diagnosis. But what didthe doƩ He put this man on antibiotics, which I find quite interesting. Antibioticsare not something one would generally give for a fungal rash that he or she has diagnosedas a fungal rash. They will normally give an antifungal ug, butthis case, the decided to give a penicillin based antibiotic. And the condition exploded andnow it went all over his torso, upper back,

neck, around the ears, scalp, all over. I'll call him Gary. Gary said a few days afterstarting treatment, he had a shower and his whole body blew upa terrible skin rash.Since then, he's been to about 14 different people. You're looking at a guy that's beento about 20 practitioners all up with no resolution. Interesting case. Upon examination of the patient, I had nodoubtmy mind that it's a Candida fungal skin infection of the groin and various partsof the body. I found it interesting that nobody offered Gary any advice regarding his dietand lifestyle. Even the natural practitioners

he went to offered only a small amount ofadvice here. My instruction to Gary was to wash the genitalregion, particularly, twice per day with a good tea tree oil based soap and also to usea watersoluble tea tree oil to wash the private area and to spot treat the tough areas withtea tree oil. This was to be done at least twice per day. I also recommended to Garyto go out and buy about 20 pairs of new cotton boxer shorts and to put on new underwear atleast twice per day. This is very important if you're a guy with a fungal yeast infectionis to maintain very good hygiene. Change your clothing often.
